Colours Run

October 7, 2013

Here’s some great news for a rainy Monday… The sun will be out and shining this coming weekend! The weather report for next weekend is in our favor for the 2nd Annual Colours Run. As of now, it will be sunny and 18 degrees – beautiful weather for a walk or run, don’t you think?

We want everyone to participate. You’re probably thinking “I haven’t trained”, or “I can’t run 3km, much less 5 or 10km!” – No problem-o.
There is a 1km run/walk for kids to participate. Then, for us teenagers or adults who want to participate you can walk or run the 5k route, or run the 10k (because let’s be honest, if you walk the 10k, none of us will get home in time for Thanksgiving dinner 🙂

Check-In / Registration starts at 8am, and the kids race starts at 9am.
Location: Millennium Park in Bancroft
Cost: $10 for kids run, $35 for 5/10km, $75 for families.
Sign-up here:
OR, simply show up the morning of the walk/run, and we’ll get you all signed up. Don’t forget to tell your friends and family.

Reasons to participate:
1. To support the Switch Yard. Core Health Fitness donates all proceeds to the SY, so by participating, you’re supporting us!
2. Make it a family/friends Thanksgiving tradition. This is a beautiful and fun way to get out and enjoy a morning by exercising and supporting a great organization.
3. We have volunteers donate FRESH COOKIES for all participants. YUM.
4. There will be a banana mascot running with the kids. You can get your picture taken with a banana.
5. You’ll get a free race t-shirt – they’re a GREAT colour this year (secret), so of course you want one.
6. You can brag about doing a race to all of your friends.
and many more – these are just a few of the best reasons 😉

I hope to see you there!
