Colours Run – a success!

October 21, 2013

It’s a rainy Monday today, but I’m thinking back to Saturday, October 12 and what a GORGEOUS day it was! It was perfectly cool in the morning, and as the sun hit Millennium Park in Bancroft, it made a perfect day for the 2nd Annual Fall Colours Run/Walk.
We had a beautiful morning with enthusiastic participants, which really made the event perfect.
The morning started with a Banana leading the kids in a 1k run…  (Thanks to Pepin’s No Frills mascot and sponsorship!)

The 5k run/walk and 10k run were also a success, with all 3 races together having 114 participants!

Thank you to all who made the Colours Run a part of their long weekend! We sincerely appreciate your participation. There were many who worked behind the scenes by baking cookies, promoting it, sponsored it, stuffed bags, helped with registration, setting out signs, prayed for good weather 🙂 and more… THANK YOU!

A very special thank you to Terry & her team at Core Health Fitness for their commitment to this event and amazing organization in pulling it all together. We are very grateful for their support of the Switch Yard through the Colours Run, and can’t thank them enough for what it means to us for our budget and community! Thank you.

If you were a participant and are looking for some updates/times/photos, please look at Core Health’s website: http://www.corehealth-fitness.ca/ .
